A group from Bologna makes its frontier technology skills available to help various kinds of companies through digital transition. Everything was born from the idea of combining frontier technologies as a transparent and effective tool. Today, IQC-Pomiager boasts thirty professionals and an expected turnover of €4 million. For FARE INSIEME, Giampaolo Colletti interviewed Daniela Gabellini and Giuseppe Adduce, respectively the General Manager and CEO for development of Gruppo IQC-Pomiager

One
for all and all for one. It may seem weird but, in order to tell this
entrepreneurial story born under the Emilian sky we must include this historic
quote from the three infallible Musketeers: Athos, Porthos and Aramis, i.e. the
most admired swordsmen in the world. The story we are about to tell you is
indeed a story that talks about technology, but it is also one that starts with
people and, most of all, of their alliance. Everything began from a previous
professional experience, which was then shared in 2013. Thus IQC Pomiager was born, and became an
information technology company. And so our quote, that reference to team work,
is explained.
The
role of blockchain technologies. For over ten years, this business has been
studying and designing innovative solutions to make technology more accessible
to organizations of all kinds and sizes. But take heed. We have just said it. People first and technology second. Although,
after all, technology is indeed the objective. The objectives of the company
included the idea to simplify the road to Industry 4.0. The
intuition was born from the skills of the team and the study of the potential
linked with blockchain as a tool for the digital certification of information
and data. A guarantee of security, inalterability and immutability. An
essential added value to all economic and commercial transactions. But what
does blockchain mean? It is a structure of data made up of increasing lists of
records known as blocks, which are connected between them in a safe manner
using cryptography. As each block contains information about the previous ones,
they form a chain with each additional block being linked with the previous
ones. That is why blockchain transactions are irreversible: once they are
recorded, the data in a specific block cannot be modified retroactively without
altering all the subsequent blocks. And that is why blockchain is part of the
large family of distributed ledgers, i.e. systems based on a replicated, shared
and synchronized ledger between multiple subjects present in multiple
locations. Hence those three Musketeers with that idea of one for all
and all for one are back once again. “Blockchains provide numerous advantages
in terms of data safety, transparency and immutability. The use of these
technologies has enabled us to occupy a leading position in Italy. When applied to digital certification, it ensures data
immutability. This means that, once validated, the data contained in the
certification remains unaltered and protected against all kinds of tampering,
even involuntary ones. We believe that digital certification is a powerful tool
to succeed and stand out on the market,” report Daniela Gabellini and Giuseppe
Adduce, respectively General Manager and CEO for Development of Gruppo
IQC-Pomiager.
Company profile. Once again, we are using the plural. The group, which
deals with state-of-the-art IT systems, was set up in
Bologna in Via di Corticella, north of the city centre. Everything started from
a small flat, then things went well and the group started tearing down walls to
make more room. Today, the figures are considerable: 30 employees for a growing
turnover and the expectation of reaching €4 million
in 2024. “When we settled in the new premises, we had no tables or
desks, but just the will to do something together. In our interactions
there was the will to work together to provide consultations with a high
technological content in line with the digital transition,” recall Gabellini
and Adduce. Blockchain, as we mentioned earlier. There, the
first example involved the C-BOX technology platform. The objective? To make
the lessons learned by people during training and gained through
experience transparent through the use of a Digital Badge. But there is even
more. The
group provides business services integrated between IoT (Internet of Things) and IoC (Internet of Competence).
There is the blockchain, but there is also generative AI, bigdata, NFTs. “We work with institutions, bodies and public and private
organizations all over the domestic territory operating in the service,
industry and education sectors. This year we have also begun considering
internationalization strategies and have set up a company in Philadelphia,”
conclude Gabellini and Adduce. Once again, we
are talking about teamwork, about that one for all and all for one strategy
that makes a difference.
