China's probes on EU products following EV tariffs

China has imposed temporary anti-dumping measures on brandy imports from the European Union after the 27-state bloc voted for tariffs on China-made electric vehicles (EVs). The Chinese commerce ministry said that dumping of brandy from the EU was threatening China's own brandy sector with "substantial damage", and hit brands from Hennessy to Remy Martin with temporary anti-dumping tariffs on Oct. 8.
