A company specialised in embroidery and in the customisation of clothing and accessories was established in Bologna in 2017. A young company that emerged thanks to the victory of a tender and that has grown over time. Giampaolo Colletti interviews Riccardo Dall'Aglio, CEO of Kreizy for FARE INSIEME.

“The sky is a thimble for sewing. And sewing is poetry.” Paul Eduard, a French poet and one of the greatest exponents of surrealism, repeated it like a mantra. Now, in that poetic vision there is everything. It contains the dream that comes true. It hides the attention to detail that generates quality. There is the work of the individual that becomes a team, joining that of other people. The story we are about to tell starts with embroidery - the one made with fine yarns and innovative techniques, that is, the modern one that preserves tradition - and ends up telling much more.

Company profile. Everything started in Funo, a hamlet of five thousand souls in the municipality of Argelato, in the metropolitan area of Bologna. But from here - you will see very soon - we really tour Italy as only the best ideas, linked to people of value, can do. Kreizy was established here in Funo, inside the Centergross of Bologna. There are nine people at work for a turnover of half a million euros. «Our DNA is customisation: at the beginning we embroidered only for private individuals but as we grew we moved on to companies only. Then we also added tailoring and now we also have a graphics team to always make new proposals. So the fact of being young and of embroidering and sewing for every context we look for, based on the customer we have or choose, has remained unchanged. The enthusiasm and uniqueness of being so flexible as a company leads us to always develop new projects that are different from each other.» These are the words of Riccardo Dall'Aglio, CEO of Kreizy. He is the one who leads this young and creative team, always passionate about embroidery and committed to transforming drawings into punching thanks to an innovative software for precise embroidery. «We never see embroidery in a schematic way, but as an innovative completion linked to tailoring or new fabrics or unused inserts. A complete project is made, in line with the requests and with something that perhaps has always only been thought of, because we consistently bring evidence and succeed until we see the idea realised», says Dall'Aglio. With a recent history - the company was only founded in 2017 - but that is already full of meanings, which then give significance to things because they connect the dots and therefore the ideas, the projects, the existences. «A satisfying moment was when I entered the new warehouse: to see how we passed from a warehouse of initially twenty square meters to the present one, was rewarding. But actually the good times are when a customer is happy, when you keep your word, when a project is liked, when you pay your employees. The hard part are the setbacks, the unpredictable difficulties that don't depend on you. But this is part of maturing, that is, making sure that your behaviour can help you avoid an unpleasant situation as much as possible», Dall'Aglio specifies.

Skills at work. For the embroidery part there are girls under 30 years old with a passion for fashion. But it takes a constant study. Skills come only by taking courses at the company that supplies machinery and software. In tailoring there is a melting pot of cultures between Africa and Italy, with an average age of 32 years old. It involves both male and female hands. «And I am also happy to say that in this area you can help political refugees, there are many associations with very good tailors and with great opportunities to enhance», Dall'Aglio says. Let's go back to the location. Because where defines how. Ultimately, it contains the sense of the contemporary district. Riccardo is convinced of this. «We moved here to Centergross precisely for this reason to act closely with companies not far away. Furthermore, our region offers great job opportunities in various sectors, high-level courses and visits at the company and also the possibility of finding people and entrepreneurs who know how to obtain results and make things go in a certain way. I believe in districts only when there are competent people who are constantly committed because otherwise they are just groups with many initial but not very concrete ideas.» Of course, the clothing industry is experiencing a moment of difficulty, of systemic crisis. And yet we can make a difference. «We must be good at Kreizy to always develop something different while maintaining customisation. Andvarious ingredients are needed to understand what can work, but one of these is to ask, to address questions, and to inform those directly involved», concludes Dall’Aglio. So here is the winning recipe. Actively listening to the customer, to the market, to the world. Trying to hold together, practically to sew, different stories together.
