Pier Luigi Folli,
born in 1960, is Head of the Organisation and General Services area of Confindustria Emilia Area Centro.
In 1979 he obtained his diploma from the "Arrigo Serpieri" Institute of Higher Education in Bologna.
In 1976 he was a seasonal worker in charge of the assembly at Testi Erio Velomotor SpA, San Lazzaro.
In 1977 he was a seasonal salesman at E.V.A. (Clothing sales exercises), Bologna.
In 1978 he was a seasonal worker at Eridania Zuccherifici Nazionali.
In 1979 he was a seasonal worker at the Italian company for the sugar industry.
From 1980 to 1981 he was Auxiliary Carabiniere at the Carabinieri Corps.
In 1981 he was security officer at the Industrialists Association of Bologna and from the same year, until the birth of Confindustria Emilia, he was employed as responsible of the data centre, officer in charge of the information systems, programming (rpg2), companies registry, external databases, internal office automation. Among the main projects and activities in which he took part, the following are to be mentioned: first project of massive sending of e-mails to the associated companies (SEVA); first video communication project; replacement management of the IBM System/34 with stand alone PCs and subsequent transfer to a corporate network; commissioner on behalf of the Association for training courses (appointment of the Emilia-Romagna Region); analysis and installation of new CRMs; responsibility, with coordination of the General Management, for the sales of the properties and renovation of the headquarters in via San Domenico in Bologna; direct management of contracts with suppliers.
