Riccardo Monti,
born in 1974, he is the head of the
Environment, Safety, Energy and Territory department of Confindustria Emilia
Area Centro.
After obtaining his high school leaving certificate in scientific
studies, he graduated from the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, in
"Environmental Studies", presenting a thesis on the development of
methods to measure the activity of specific biomarkers.
He took a master’s degree course on the
“Management and recovery of environmental resources (environmental management:
regulatory, economic and technological aspects)” at the Faculty of
Environmental Sciences, University of Milano-Bicocca.
He began his career in an environment,
safety and quality consulting firm as a consultant in the fields of health and
safety at work (Italian Legislative Decree 626/1994), the environment and food
safety (HACCP).
In 2008 he joined Confindustria as an
official in the Central Technical-Scientific Department of Federchimica, the
Italian Federation of the chemical industry, where he dealt mainly with
transport and logistics.
In 2011 he joined Confindustria Modena as an official in the
Environment and Safety Area where he dealt with the environment, energy and
transport.
In 2017 he joined the Environment, Safety,
Energy and Territory Department of Confindustria Emilia Area Centro, dealing
mainly with the environment, energy and territorial development.
