In
Mirandola, in the lower Modena province, there is a company that produces
components, prototypes and precision mechanics for everything from the
Motorsports to the Space sectors. It is called
Vierrevi Srl, and boasts a turnover of €3 million with an export share of
almost 20% and clients in the packaging, Formula 1 and even aerospace
industries.

The
best entrepreneurial stories are born out of teamwork, i.e. from the alliance
among people. Going solo is no longer the solution, teams are the winners now.
Antonio and Davide Verri know this full well. They are cousins and business
partners, the second generations at the helm of the family business. When they
took over from their respective fathers in 2003, Vierrevi was a small Emilian
gem - an artisanal company numbering eight people (partners included) that did
everything: purchasing and cutting of materials, programming, processing and
even deliveries. It has come a long way since then. The
company now boasts a turnover of €3 million and exports abroad reach 20%. Its
clients feature brands dealing with motorsports, packaging, labelling,
automatic machines and even aerospace. “We have always done everything that
needed to be done with dedication and enthusiasm, as simply as we could, with
humbleness and spirit of collaboration, working with our clients first and
foremost as partners. The most rewarding moment? Luckily there have been many,
but seeing the company grow thanks to skilled collaborators that enable us to
maintain the highest technological and qualitative standards is a great joy. Just
like when you see the attention to detail which is fruit of the teamwork
between technicians, operators and testers - it is always pleasing,” report
Antonio and Davide Verri. The company is a
“system integrator”, i.e. a concept that refers to general contractors
accompanying other companies in their innovation process. Working on this there
are 32 professionals who share a passion for technology.
Company profile. We are talking about a
company specializing in the processing of precision mechanical parts.
Everything started in 1980 in Mirandola, a town of 25 thousand north of Modena,
in that southern part of the Modena province that has become an icon worldwide.
Falling and rising again. Because the area was affected by a dramatic
earthquake in 2012, its most difficult moment, a very hard test for everyone,
company included, but which was once again overcome together. Just think that the name is also plural, because it
features the initials of its founding partners. The once V.R.V. was born from
the skills of Ivano, Davide’s father, and from the concrete working and
logistic needs of its founders. Work and have fun. It
can actually be done. Just think that, in this workshop, all the pieces
produced get a nickname. So the production features a “teddy bear”, a “banana”,
a “leaf”, a “tree” and even a “vase”.
Products of excellence. Today, it deals with the mechanical production of prototypes and
components, also with a view to the worlds of racing and Space. “Our
commitment focuses mainly on the manufacturing of mechanical components for
third parties and on products made according to client specifications.
Components are manufactured entirely based on the drawings supplied by the
client. We specialize in the processing of metal and alloys - both ferrous and
non-ferrous - and also deal with other materials ranging from plastic to copper
alloys. Our services include cutting, milling,
turning, dimensional measurements and assembly,” reports Davide Verri. Then there is aerospace, the sector for which
Vierrevi acquired the ENI9100 certification in 2020 for the production of
precision components for satellites or other products for the defence sector. As for motorsports, it produces parts for Formula
1, including vehicle components from the frame to aerodynamics. Then there is
the power unit with the gear shift, for which components are made for both the
mechanical thermal and electrical unit, including the cooling system. Plus a
lot of equipment, testing components, test-room experiments, special keys and
assembly materials. What an incredible story. In
2020, at the height of the pandemic, a new product was born that is a new tale.
We are talking about Nextale, which took advantage of team skills going beyond
metalworking. It is a top-of-the-range e-mountain bike that combines
craftsmanship, excellence and uniqueness. “Components have improved since the
first models and, in particular, the main part of our e-bike, i.e. the steering
quill, was the object of careful studies dedicated to style and performance,
just like the entire rear triangle in the full-suspension version,” says
Antonio Verri.
Always
give the best without ever giving up. It may be easier said than done, yet this
story shows that it can indeed be done. “After all, we have strived for
perfection for over 40 years, we have always wanted to provide products and
services that made a difference while setting and keeping the bar up high,”
concludes Antonio Verri.
A story that is more
unique than incredible!
