Infolog strengthens the presence of intra-logistics on the market by joining the Sesa Group

15/05/2020

Infolog has signed a binding agreement for the sales of 51% of its share capital to Var Group, a company entirely controlled by the Sesa Group, which is active in the Software and System Integration sector.

Infolog, which was established in the 90s and based in Modena, has over 40 staff specialised in the design and development of software solutions for the computerised management of warehouse logistics (WMS) with over 200 customers operating in some of the main sectors of the Made in Italy, such as tiles, fashion, manufacturing and healthcare. The development of INTELLIMAG, an advanced WMS proprietary software solution, which can be integrated with the main national and international ERPs, allows to complete the Var Group software offer on the Enterprise and SME market.

"By working in collaboration with Var Group, Infolog, which is already recognised as one of the leading manufacturers of WMS software in Italy, will be able to further consolidate the development of its on-premise and Cloud solutions for Intra-logistics and added-value management activities. We expect a strong acceleration of growth both in the generation of revenues and in terms of human capital, with a consequent increase in our presence on the market both in Italy and abroad. On the basis of a long-term plan, the operation aims to develop  additional skills in the field of digitalisation and automation of logistical processes for the benefit of the Group's customers and of the most important production districts of the Made in Italy", said Giorgio Tesorieri, CEO of Infolog.

"We enrich our skills in the sector of software solutions for advanced logistics to complement our offer of ERP solutions to support the digital transformation of customers. To support the challenges of companies in the New Normal Economy and the restart of the Made in Italy districts, innovative technologies, as well as a specific knowledge of business processes, are needed. Infolog's skills will be enhanced within our organisation as part of a development plan that focuses on industrial continuity and human capital growth", said Francesca Moriani, CEO of Var Group.

“The Sesa Group further expands its human capital in an added-value sector, such as that pertaining to software solutions, integrating highly specialised skills in support of the digitalisation and automation of both Italian and European client companies. In the current scenario, we will continue to expand our interests and growth abroad, based on the ability to identify companies with integrated industrial projects, fuelling our long-term sustainable growth path, for the benefit of all Stakeholders", said Alessandro Fabbroni, CEO of Sesa.
