The award ceremony of the XXVI Compasso d’Oro ADI Award (XXVI Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI) was held this morning at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. On this occasion, Emmegi, a company of the Gruppo Voilàp holding based in Soliera in the province of Modena (leader in the sector of the design and production of machines and systems for the processing of aluminium profiles, light alloys, PVC and iron), was awarded with the prestigious “Honourable Mention”.
Conceived by the unforgettable architect and designer Gio Ponti, the Prize supports and points out the companies in the market bearing the signs of design excellence in their DNA.
What fascinated and convinced the international jury of the XXVI Compasso d'Oro ADI Award was the Fusion 4H, a numerical control (NC) horizontal welding machine specialised for the welding of PVC profiles, already included in 2019 in the volume of the 2019 ADI Design Index and exhibited at the Museum of Science and Technology (Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia) in Milan and at the Architecture House (Casa dell'Architettura) in Rome.
“"A great result that is a source of pride for our entire Group and in particular for the Style & Design Centre, directed by the internationally renowned designer and leading personality in the automotive sector Donato Coco - declares Piero Valentini, Voilàp holding Industrial Business Unit Director - that works daily to promote the Group's brands by combining the values of quality, safety, beauty and ergonomics in the innovation and development of new products.”
Fusion 4H, with its amazing choreographic impact, is the demonstration that one can be powerful, innovative, effective and beautiful, at the same time. Even when in a workshop. A "cultural" revolution that sees Emmegi at the forefront of exalting the concepts of efficiency and beauty in products with high design standards in the firm belief that a person, who works in a beautiful environment and with exciting machines, is more efficient and works better. Beauty at the service of innovation.
Andrea Anesi, Product Development and Marketing Director of Emmegi and Antonino Potenzano, Design Team Manager of Voilàp holding, were present today in Milan to receive the award, which was personally delivered by the president of ADI, Luciano Galimberti, and the president of the ADI Foundation, Umberto Cabini.
Fusion 4H by Emmegi received one of the 38 Honourable Mentions awarded this year (out of 296 participating companies) by the international jury of the XXVI "Compasso d'Oro ADI" Award.
All the winning works and projects, including the welding machine "born" in Soliera, will be, starting from today, physically exhibited or exhibited through dedicated videos at the new ADI Design Museum - Compasso d'Oro in Milan.
