POGGIPOLINI and GELLIFY present Sens-IN, a highly technological start-up
that invests in smart screws, giving a new tone of voice to artificial
intelligence in the fastening sector. The new fastening components are equipped
with patented sensors characterised by a very high technology and connectivity
that make them always connected. These will be employed also in new crucial
sectors, such as infrastructures (bridges) and healthcare (medical prostheses),
other than in the historical markets of Poggipolini (aeronautics, automotive
and industrial). A technological solution, therefore, which will have a strong
positive impact on the whole community.
So
the debut of Sens-In has occurred in this way, the innovative start-up founded
by Poggipolini and that sees today also the participation of the innovation
platform GELLIFY, a Venture Building project in which both figure as
protagonists, a co-investment model in an innovative business that is born
within a company that is already consolidated. This will allow to concentrate
investments and resources dedicated to the development of this product, which
has been designed to become the protagonist of digital transformation.

years ago to make our fixings intelligent, by working in constant contact with
the engineering behind each of our customers and in open innovation with
Start-ups, Universities and research centres. The bolts, in addition to
fulfilling their mechanical functions, could have come to life, becoming
intelligent and communicating data never acquired before. An improved design
for each individual screw and at the same time a control for the entire system.
Hence the birth of the term "Internet of Fasteners". Today, I am
happy to announce the partnership with GELLIFY, because we will be able to
count on their experience to develop all the digital solutions related to the
data we will acquire. We will, therefore, focus on the design, development and
implementation of the sensitive components and of the entire digital platform
that will deal with the management and reprocessing of the acquired data,
through artificial intelligence and by offering our customers a strategic and
unique service. It is now clear how a simple screw, I refer to specific
applications on bridges, for example, can really change people's lives”.
