The investment in the Emilian territory of the Spanish group, which is active internationally in the electricity distribution business and a reference point for the main electricity operators on the market, will have important consequences at the local level in terms of recruitment and training of new profiles, also junior.

Through Elecnor Italia, the subsidiary specialised in the telecommunications and electricity transmission sector, the company now has 380 employees distributed in particular in Lombardy and Piedmont. The Emilian investment will include the design, installation and maintenance of overhead and underground MV/LV lines, secondary MV/LV substations and work on electrical metering units, with/without the presence of voltage, interventions on call for failure, as well as further activities, such as the supply and installation of three/single pipes for optical fibre and the maintenance and energy efficiency with customised solutions.

The stability and development path of Elecnor, which for the Bologna project is looking for electricians, specialised personnel on work at a height, general excavation workers, site surveyors and engineers, will guarantee the profiles entered to undertake a professional growth both in northern Italy and in the Emilian area, through an internal training course in both the shipbuilding and management operational fields.

With over 60 years of history, Elecnor was founded in 1958 on the initiative of a group of Spanish entrepreneurs, who are still key shareholders today. Initially focused on the electricity sector, within a few years it expanded its field of action to telecommunications and began its expansion with the creation of the first branch in Spain, dedicated to the design and construction of prefabricated works. Almost at the same time, the first foreign branch was established in Venezuela, which was considered the first milestone in the company's international process of expansion, followed by the construction of plants in Brazil and Chile, the acquisition of companies in Scotland, the United States and France and the strengthening in the electricity, gas, telecommunications and renewable energy markets.

The diversification of activities is one of the strategic assets that characterize the history of Elecnor, which is active today in complementary sectors, such as electricity, gas, industrial plants, railways, telecommunications, water, control systems, construction, environment, plant maintenance, aerospace engineering.
